February - Platinum Idol Award nominations
So far there are 5 nominated photos for the 1st Platinum Camera Idol Award.
NOTE: Nomination period ends February 24 10PM HK time (+8). VOTING of Admins and Moderators immediately follows. So please post nominations as soon as possible. Winner(s) will be announced at least 3 days after February 29, 2008.

Nominated by deolandicho. He said : "I nominate this fantastic image by jtnelso not just because of it's monochromatic appeal, striking images but because it made my hair stand up the moment I saw it. Truly an awe-inspiring, spectacular moment frozen in time. Kudos to the photographer!"

Nominated by Dustin. He said : "There's just such a cinematic quality to this shot. I love the colors and everything that is happening in this scene. I generally don't think firework shots are thrilling, but this isn't just a shot of a firework, it's just one of many elements that make this such a rich picture."

Deo's second nomination. He said : "The blurred effect is for me, a better way to present a subject that has probably been shot a million times. Plus the presentation of minimal colors adds to the over-all clean look of the image. Technique, color and framing are spot on."
